Golf Pros Beating Cancer is a 501 (c)(3) Charitable foundation in the
State of Virginia. Our primay function is to raise funding for
Melanoma Research through the Capital City Charity Pro-Am, a golf
tournament that takes place each September in the Washington, DC
area.
Golf Pros Beating Cancer was founded by Michael Muehr, who played
on the PGA Tour from 2001-2003. Mike was diagnosed with
Melanoma and retired from professional golf at the end of 2003.
Mike is joined on the Board of Directors by Robert Feinstein, JJ
Henry, Joe Ogilvie, and Brett Quigley. Brett, JJ, and Joe are all PGA
Tour players who have given their time and consideration to this
cause and will be vital assets to the foundation's success into the
future. The final member of the Board, Bob Feinstein, is a managing
director at Compass Point, LLC, an equities trading firm in
Washington, DC
